Llamas talk-- verbally and nonverbal.

Examples of the verbal communications are 'the hum from dam to cria'; the alarm call; the male orgling at female; clucking; and a few other sounds. Generally llamas are quiet creatures with very little noise being made.

Llamas also talk non-verbally--with their body postures; head, tail or ear positions and their actions. Following are some photos of different 'llama talking'.

Milk Vein of Very Pregnant Llama--may show up a month ahead or the day after! At about 2 years old, llama's adult front teeth come in. The ugly, brown one is the New One! The pretty white ones are the baby teeth that will fall out. Also notice the split lips that llamas have. This enables them to graze very effeciently.
