Tubing Float Trips

Shenandoah River tubing Fun

The tubing course is our selection based on river water levels...

A) # 8 Bealer's to #11 Foster's--3 miles, takes around 3 to 4 hours in normal water levels, 2 to 3 hours in higher water; has nice riffles, great scenery.

B) #16 to #19--section used at lower water levels-deeper, slower water. Takes 4-5 hours, good swimming hole, beach.

How your Day may be when you come tubing with SRO:

Get an early start so that you are here with time to get ready for your day on the Shenandoah. To get ready for the river, unload your gear at the Outfitters, then park in the lot 200 yds back. Sign up and then get your lifejacket, have your cooler with you but leave all valuables in your car. We keep car keys for you. You do not want to loose them in the river. We will transport you to the River at either the 10:30 trip or 12 noon trip times. (We can not guarantee any other departure times). It is a short drive to the tube put-in where you will get your tube, tie in your cooler in a cooler tube, and then float down the beautiful Shenandoah. Be sure of the pick-up times and place! At the designated pick-up landing, we will meet you and bring you back to the Outfitters. There is a shower house with hot showers for your convenience back by the parking lot.
